Sylvia Lopez

Sylvia began her legal career by completing her articles of clerkship with Biggar & Maguire (now Big Law) before being admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in 2004.

Following her admission, Sylvia spent several years with a respected mid-tier boutique city firm, where she developed extensive experience across a broad range of commercial matters. She returned to Big Law in 2015 and has since become a Legal Practitioner Director.

Known for her practical, solutions-focused approach, Sylvia works closely with clients to understand their objectives and provide clear, commercially minded advice. She is committed to achieving positive outcomes while protecting her clients’ interests at every stage of a transaction.

Sylvia also has significant experience in estate planning and estate administration. Her background in structuring complex arrangements gives her a strong understanding of trusts, self-managed superannuation funds and company structures, and how these impact estate planning outcomes. She assists clients with both estate planning and estate administration matters, providing clear and considered guidance during what can often be a difficult and emotional time.
